SP1 Release Keeps WhatsUp Gold 2019 the Strongest in the Market

Posted: 30 July 2019

It's Summer! The weather is good...sometimes; many of us are taking well-earned breaks; and nature is in full bloom. What more could we need?

A new service pack of WhatsUp Gold wouldn't be a bad thing.

As of today, WhatsUp Gold 2019 edition releases its first service pack to all customers with active support and maintenance contracts. Available to download from the Ipswitch community site.

What's new?

We are glad you asked.

Refresh Maps Links

One of the top requests from Ipswitch customer community was for the ability to refresh device links on your custom map views. Something which has been missing for some time, and meant have to perform a full refresh of the page in the browser.

To do so, select Refresh Map Links from either the group action menu or right-click menu on the device/group selector to update link data to match the current set of link data on the auto-layout map.

Discovery Exclusion List

Another commonly requested feature from the Ipswitch customer community is the ability to permanently exclude specific devices from any performed scan. Rather than have to exclude them on each scan performed.

You can now maintain a list of devices to be excluded from discovery if you are only interested in discovering or updating a specific portion of your network environment.

The exclusions list can be found by selecting Settings > Discovery Settings from the main menu.
