For on-premise software and Azure editions, the license is perpetual, with optional add-ons such as ASx support, high-availability, ad-hoc packages, folder sharing and REST API. The SaaS or cloud edition of MOVEit Transfer is a 1, 2 or 3 year subscription per user account; and each user account has a maximum amount of bandwidth and storage it can consume in that period. There are two editions of MOVEit Cloud: Professional and Premium.

Yes, conveniently named MOVEit Gateway. MOVEit Gateway creates an SSH based tunnel between MOVEit Transfer and Gateway, which is then used pass traffic from the internet to the internally hosted MOVEit Transfer server(s).

It also stores files-at-rest using FIPS140-2 validated AES 256bit, with each file encrypted with a different key. Files are stored in an obfuscated format on disk and when deleted, are erased using a NIST 800-88 compliant process. Finally, all activity in MOVEit Transfer is logged to a tamper-evident audit log.

In previous versions, MOVEit Transfer Mobile was an optional and costed add-on. However, since the 2020 edition, this has now been included as part of the base license.

MOVEit Transfer supports a number of authentication sources, which can be mixed. Supported sources include: local database, LDAP(S), SAMLv2, AzureAD, ODBC and RADIUS.

It does indeed. In the world of MOVEit Transfer, we call this a webfarm. Whereby multiple copies of the application can exist, using the same database and file store. All members of the webfarm are in an active state and there can be more than two.

It is as simple as applying your newly upgraded license key. MOVEit Transfer is installed with all add-ons included, but it is the license key which determines whether they are active or not. Applying a new license key will activate those purchased features.
